12 habituated gorilla families in Volcanoes N/P are open for tracking and today, you will be briefed at Kinigi offices. Learn more about the dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking and allocation of gorilla groups will be done today by the park official. After, leave for 2-6 hours trek through the bamboo forest and steep slope to look for your family or mountain gorillas. On getting your family, the park official allows maximum of 1 hour and you must maximize it well, take pictures, explore about the daily behaviors, and observe body gestures of mountain gorillas then return to the lodge. Relax in the evening at your lodge and share the long day experiences with colleagues.

Wake up early in the morning, after, you will set off to Kinigi for briefing and today, it will be about golden monkey tracking rules. Actual golden monkey tracking starts at 8:00am and you will be led by an experienced park guide for 2-4 hours inclusive of one hour of magical encounter with golden monkeys in the wild.
