Tour Plan
Day 1: Visit Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park is found in Kabarole district, Western Uganda, and getting there takes about 5-6 hours. Start your Uganda road trip to Kibale from Kampala, drive via Mityana, Mubende and to Fort Portal city. At Fort Portal, settle for lunch and you will be transferred to the park to check in at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi wetland walk- Kabarole
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi wetland walk- Kabarole
Enjoy a hefty breakfast, after, transfer to Kanyanchu visitor center for briefing about Kibale chimpanzee tracking rules. The actual tracking to see chimpanzees starts at 8:00am and each group of visitors will be led by an experienced guide. When you locate a chimpanzee community, the park guide will allow you to stay for 1 hour with chimpanzees, take pictures. At 2pm after your delicious lunch, head out to Bigodi wetland for nature walk, 2 hours and you will be spotting variety of primates, birds, ad other mammals.

Day 3: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Night Game drive
Breakfast be provided to you in the morning, after, transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park in Kasese. A magical view of Crater Lakes, extensive banana plantations and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges will be viewed en-route. A leisurely lunch at the lodge and late in the evening, go enjoy a guided night game drive.

Day 4: Morning Game drive & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel.
A game drive through Kasenyi plains starts before sunrise, and you will be targeting early risers in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Animals to catch a glimpse today include buffaloes, elephants, lions, antelopes, birds, warthogs, and many others. In the afternoon, you will set off for a boat trip on Kazinga channel and this will take 2-3 hours with high chances for you to see hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds.

Day 5: Travel to Bwindi through the Switzerland part of Africa.
You will be transferred to Bwindi, about 4-5 hours’ drive with en-route game drive at Ishasha. Ishasha sector is one of East Africa’s spots where tree climbing lions can be viewed, and before heading to Bwindi, you will have a bush lunch.

Day 6: Gorilla Habituation Experience in Rushaga.
Breakfast early in the morning, after, head out for gorilla habituation in Rushaga and your visit will be Kutu gorilla group. It will be a full day, and with park trackers with guarantee of 4 hours of magical encounter with the massive mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi.
Drive from Rushaga to Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale and spend a long day chilling at the cool shores. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the iconic attractions in Southwestern Uganda, a renowned place of little birds and it has 29 islands.

Day 8: Canoe Trek & the Punishment Island.
After a heavy breakfast, begin your morning with a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. This will include visit to the Punishment Island, and this has a distinct history to share. It is at this island where girls who got pregnant before marriage were abandoned, and today, you will discover more about it.

Day 9: Lake Mburo & Night game drive.
Transfer to Lake Mburo N/Park in Kiruhura for a night game drive. This will have you sight of nocturnal species such as the elusive leopards, hyenas, mongoose and some nocturnal birds.
