Enjoy the 3 days gorilla fly in Bwindi safari from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip. You will be visiting Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla trekking and the Batwa cultural experience.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a compact natural forest park, located in Southwestern Uganda 8-9 hours’ drive from Kampala and by flight, about 2 hours. The park was founded in 1991 and its borders extend to cover 331sq.kms of land area. Over 459 of the earth’s 1063 mountain gorillas left all dwell in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and also shelters many other animal species including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys; bird species with record of 360, reptiles, amphibians, plants and 200 butterfly species.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Welcome to Entebbe International Airport & fly into Kisoro
Transfer to Entebbe Airport (EBB) where you will be warmly welcomed by the aircraft team and then board ready to set off for Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip in Southwestern Uganda. Your flight will cover about 2 hours and upon arrival at airstrip, meet Uganda Luxury Tours driver for transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, about 1-2 hours’ drive. Have a relaxed evening at the comfort of your luxury gorilla safari lodge in Bwindi National Park, Southwestern Uganda.

Day 2: Gorilla trek to see mountain gorillas & Batwa visit
Have a hefty breakfast, after exit your safari lodge in Bwindi for briefing on gorilla trekking rules at the park offices. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has 4 regions where gorilla treks start- Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija and Nkuringo- you will be driven to a region depending on your gorilla trekking permit.
It will be today when the park official allocates you one of the 20 tourism designated gorilla groups to track in your group of 8 visitors, each group will be led by a park guide. Expected time to spend walking goes from 2-6 hours depending how fast you walk and location of gorillas then, one hour will be guaranteed for a close encounter upon finding these large apes in their natural environment.
You will then walk back to be provided Bwindi gorilla trekking certificate at the park offices and later, transfer to the lodge for relaxation and refreshments. In the evening, a cultural guide will lead you to Batwa pygmy community for educative and interactive cultural tour with Batwa dubbed the original forest keepers. Learn more on how the ancient Batwa lived in the forest for thousands of years before being displaced after Bwindi and Mgahinga became National Parks in 1991.

Day 3: Fly back to Kajjansi Airfield/Entebbe or transfer to Kigali by road
After breakfast, you have two options; either return by flight from Kisoro airstrip to Entebbe Airport or drive from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Kisoro to Chanika to Kigali in Rwanda.
